Story Tree
At Okeedokee, we believe that a well-rounded childhood is full of different rhythms. Sometimes that means quiet gardening, and other times it means high-energy movement. Our activities are designed to spark new interests and build confidence, all within the safety of our familiar environment.
Because we are a boutique centre, we have the space to bring in the very best local partners. These experiences are woven into our weekly rhythm.
These activities are a core part of how we ensure every day at Okeedokee is a great day.
We believe in the power of active, outdoor play. Our weekly soccer sessions with Ginger Sport are less about “competition” and more about high-energy fun. Children build their gross motor skills, coordination, and teamwork while running, kicking, and laughing with their friends in our leafy outdoor spaces.
Happy Feet brings a burst of music and magic to our rooms. Through themed adventures, dance, and creative movement, children explore their world while building physical confidence. It is a joyful session that supports social-emotional development and gets everyone moving to the beat.
Growing up requires more than just big muscles; it requires a strong heart. Our dedicated Resilience Program is a core part of the Okeedokee experience. We use age-appropriate stories, role-play, and “tummy feeling” check-ins to help children identify their emotions, navigate friendships, and bounce back from challenges with confidence.
We lean into natural curiosity with hands-on science and technology projects. Whether we are building bridges in the block corner or experimenting with “volcanoes” in the sandpit, we encourage the kind of deep thinking and problem-solving that sets the foundation for a love of learning.
Our gardens are a place of quiet wonder. Children learn the patience of planting a seed, the responsibility of watering it, and the joy of seeing something grow. It is our way of teaching them to care for the world around them, one sprout at a time.
The best way to understand the Okeedokee difference is to feel it for yourself. Most tours take 15 to 20 minutes.
