Our Environment
A small, boutique, single-level centre with only 66 places. Calm, welcoming, and easy for children to move through.
Garden
At Okeedokee, we believe the right environment acts as a third teacher for your child.
As a small, boutique, single-level centre with only 66 places, our space is purposefully designed to feel safe, familiar, and easy for children to navigate. Instead of a large, busy institution, you’ll find a calm haven that feels like a natural extension of your own home.
Indoor-outdoor flow
Our building is defined by its architectural heritage, deep, wide verandas that link our indoor rooms and keep the spaces cool, bright, and full of natural light.
These verandas allow children to move between indoors and outdoors at their own pace, choosing activities that match their interests and curiosities in the moment.
Real childhood play
Outside, the environment is open, leafy, and shaded. We have intentionally created spaces that encourage real childhood, the kind involving sand, water, mud, and gardens.
Whether they are climbing, digging, or building with natural materials, children are given the freedom to get messy and explore in a place where imagination grows quickly.
There are shaded play spaces, sand, water play, mud, climbing areas, gardens and quiet corners for rest.
Inside
Our indoor rooms are linked by wide verandas that keep the building cool and full of natural light. Children move between indoors and outdoors at their own pace, choosing activities that match their interests.
Everything at Okeedokee is kept simple and natural to support children in becoming confident, curious, and truly at home.
The boutique difference
Sixty-six places, one level, and a team who know every child by name.
Teachers and educators know every child by name. Siblings can see each other throughout the day. Families feel the warmth the moment they walk through the door.
Because we are small, our teachers and educators know every child by name, not just the ones in their specific room.
Our single-level layout means siblings can see each other throughout the day, providing an extra layer of comfort and security.
Families feel the warmth the moment they walk through our door, knowing their child is in a steady, purposeful environment.
We would love to show you around so you can see firsthand how each space supports real learning every day.
